High up in the hills of the Black Cuillin Mountains nestles the Faerie Pools of Scotland. Water tumbles down from the old volcanoes that are made from Gabbro, an intensely hard, old, green igneous rock usually found under the ocean. The pools are so clear you have to stare to see if they have water in them at all and the rocks are worn smooth like the inside of a woodturner’s bowl from millions of years of constant rain.
