Vättern Public Art Exhibition, Sweden

Vättern Exhibition is once again on show to the public.
This time the exhibit will be in Askersund, May - August 2021

CLEAR & CLEAN SLOWMOTION

The clear, clean water of the lake has been renowned since ancient times. It is quite common to be able to see down to a depth of 15 metres. The explanation for the clear water is a relatively small catchment area and a large average depth (40 m) which means that Lake Vättern has a retention time of around 60 years. This means that it takes about 60 years for a raindrop that ends up in the lake to eventually reach Motala Ström and the sea.
