Roots on display at BioArt Laboratories and YSKI Rethinking Plastic
“Yksi Expo will present an extensive program on the theme of plastic. In the main exhibition, the entire plastic chain is shown on the basis of four themes: ‘Rethink, Reuse, Recycle ... And Upcycle’, ‘Nature is the future’, Dig into the renewable resources’, ‘Awareness as agent of change’. It is a continuous, dynamic exhibition with new work that responds to current events.”
Designers come up with solutions, create innovations, are pioneers, make things tangible and functional. They look at their surroundings and the world in a unique way and always ask themselves: “How could it be different, better?” This leads to numerous authentic and surprising answers. 'It is up to us to embrace and stimulate these creative solutions. Together we determine what the world will look like. Now it is our turn. If not, whose turn is it?’ That is how organizing director Martijn Paulen of the Dutch Design Week addresses the visitors.
